“Strawberries and Cream”
I will be the first to admit that my wife is a great baker. This is a little dessert that she decided to whip-up for tonight’s dinner. It was fantastic!

My critique: while I like the texture of the strawberry and powdered sugar, aren’t those details a bit less appealing than the focus on the first bite? If the field of focus was right at the leading edge of the desert, you get the tasty contrast of the smooth cream and crispy edge of the cake. Everyone knows what a strawberry looks like, and that’s just garnish. If you need detail on it, extend tighten up your F stop.
